Redbox, sponsors of Surrey Chambers Golf Day, partner up to host Carbon Neutral Event.

Wednesday 12th September saw the first Surrey Chambers Golf Society golf-day of the Autumn season, held at the prestigious and historic New Zealand Golf Club.

 

With new organisation of these SCGS events by the Chambers’ very own wonderfully dedicated Tara Wavre, a great day’s golf was had by all the teams, despite some encounters with the heather under slightly colder, drizzly September skies! Nevertheless, our golfers persevered and our Chamber representatives in attendance commented on the enthusiastic atmosphere and community-feel.

Many congratulations go to our overall winner for the day, Anton Males (below, left) from Pulse Fixings, who despite some stiff competition from Ollie James from Redbox (who scored 37pts), won the day with a score of 38pts off a handicap of 14.

We would also like to extend our thanks to the team at Redbox, who in sponsoring this event, partnered up with The Green Earth Appeal in a bid to make this Golf Day a carbon-free event. We therefore have great pleasure in announcing that through participating in this environmental initiative, this Surrey Chambers Golf Day has planted 10 trees through Red to Green, an initiative which helps change the lives of communities across the developing world.

 

Being part of the Surrey Chambers Golf Society provides the perfect opportunity for some more casual networking, corporate client entertainment, or perhaps even just the chance to clear your head before stepping back into the office.
