Jackie Denyer, Managing Director, Professional Training Solutions Ltd, Stoke Hills, Farnham, Surrey.
Jackie started Professional Training Solutions with her fellow Directors in 2006, having identified a niche for delivering quality training. Having left school at 17 (“University or further study was never on my radar”), Jackie’s career started as an office junior at Friary Meux the brewery. Progressing through the ranks, her career took her from the Brewery to an American Membership organisation, before she joined Surrey Training and Enterprise in 1990. In 2004 she took voluntary severance – “it was my time” – before setting out as a consultant turning around and successfully delivering on major projects for Surrey County Council, Business Link, GOSE and SEEDA. During those two years of consultancy, plans were already being drawn up to set up a training company focussing on Quality Delivery, and to this day Professional Training Solutions’ vision and values are still based on this fundamental principle. Jackie is a mum to three amazing children (aged 21, 18 and 8!), as well as juggling the day to day challenges of running a business. Jackie loves that the work she does makes a real difference to people’s lives. Her passion for addressing gender discrimination in the workplace resulted in the launch of the Women Leaders’ Academy in June 2018 with government funding, aimed at offering training and support for women leaders. Jackie is proud to announce recent success in procuring the delivery of apprenticeship training with 3 of the largest employers in Surrey – Surrey County Council, Royal Surrey County Hospital and Surrey & Sussex Healthcare Trust.
