Stag Print supports mental health charity for 2020

Surrey-based print and packaging company, Stag Print, is delighted to announce its support for local mental health organisation Oakleaf as its charity of the year for 2020.

Oakleaf is a mental health charity supporting some of the most vulnerable adults in the Surrey community. Their beneficiaries are adults aged 16-67 suffering from a mental illness. They address multiple problems of social isolation, unemployment, poverty and discrimination that their clients face.

Oakleaf helps clients overcome huge barriers and work with them to rebuild their future by actively training, engaging and supporting them to gain practical skills and the confidence needed to return to the workplace. Training programmes in subjects such as IT, horticulture and upholstery, enable clients to acquire new skills and practical work experience.

In addition, Oakleaf runs accredited Mental Health First Aid courses for employers who wish to better understand how to support the wellbeing and mental health of their employees.

Stag Print is providing direct funding to support three people through the upholstery training course as well as sponsorship and fundraising activities throughout the year. The award-winning family company is also offering the charity pro bono printing services.

Our upholstery course gives our clients the opportunity to gain practical work experience in a supported environment, it is giving individuals a sense of purpose and an understanding of just how much they can achieve while managing their mental health. We are so grateful to Stag Print for their donation as this will make a real difference to our beneficiaries.”
