Ebb&Flow Yoga reopens with a creative twist

21st July 2020

Farnham business Ebb&Flow Yoga is working with The Maltings on an exciting new collaboration to bring their yoga, Pilates and barre classes to the Great Hall performance space from 29thJuly.

The Maltings has been closed to performance goers since March and their largest space, the Great Hall, provides an exceptional atmosphere for yoga lovers to experience a touch of theatrical drama.

The versatile theatre space, which totals 3750 square feet, provides a vast, airy temporary studio and the large fire escape doors will be left wide open during classes to increase the circulation of fresh air. Spaces will be strictly limited and must be booked online in advance on the Ebb&Flow Yoga app or by purchasing a class pack from www.ebbflowyoga.co.uk Classes can be booked from 21st July.

Theatre lighting will be incorporated into classes, creating a unique ambiance for those in need of some relaxation and me-time after the long lockdown period.

Jill Simpson, co-founder of Ebb&Flow Yoga commented, “We have been overwhelmed by the response from our community ever since we had to close the yoga studio in March. Our customers have supported us every step of the way, but have been keen to get back to their mats, particularly during such a stressful time. At Ebb&Flow we wanted to provide a safe environment for local people to access the health benefits of yoga, Pilates and barre and it seemed like the perfect collaboration to work with The Maltings while the theatre space is closed for performances.  We can now join together to help to sustain both businesses and give joy back to the community who have supported us through the whole journey.

We will be coming home to our beautiful studio on West Street when the time is right, but for now, our collaboration with The Maltings is unique and what better way to make a success story out of the challenges of the last few months.”

Gavin Stride, Director of Farnham Maltings said, “Farnham Maltings is delighted to work with Ebb&Flow Yoga on this unique collaboration and to bring life back to our venue while our programming is paused. We look forward to the time when we can invite our audiences back in to the building but in the meantime it’s wonderful to see the Great Hall space being used in such a creative way.”

Ebb&Flow Yoga has also successfully launched an online platform with a wide variety of Yoga, Pilates, Barre, Fitness and Meditation classes for both the home user and businesses during lockdown. The range of online classes from 5 to 125 minutes allows users to fit Yoga and Mindfulness into their day wherever they are located. www.ebbflowyoga.tv
