Global Travel Management Named Best Workplace in Travel 2024
19th June 2024

Global Travel Management (GTM), a leading business travel agency, is proud to announce that it has been named the Best Workplace in Travel 2024 in the Small Companies category. The prestigious award was presented by Best Workplaces in Travel during a ceremony held last night at the offices of Grant Thornton in London.
Winning this award is a testament to GTM’s commitment to fostering a positive and supportive work environment. This marks the first time GTM has entered the award scheme, and the accolade is particularly significant as the winners were determined based on a comprehensive survey of employees. The survey revealed exceptionally high levels of satisfaction and well-being among GTM’s staff, highlighting the company’s dedication to its team.
Scott Pawley, Managing Director of Global Travel Management, expressed his gratitude and pride in the company’s achievement, stating, “I am delighted that we’ve been recognised for making Global Travel Management a great place to work. When Natalie Pawley and I started the business twenty-seven years ago, we had two equal priorities: keep every customer happy and make GTM a great place to work. I am happy to say that the latter helps us every day with the former. We’re much more than a business, we’re a family. And, like most families, we’ve worked hard to overcome the rough and enjoy the smooth together. Every member of staff makes GTM a great place to work for every member of staff.”
GTM attributes its success to its inclusive decision-making process, where every member of staff is consulted on every decision the company makes. This approach ensures that GTM remains a great place to work and continues to provide exceptional service to its customers. In the past twelve months, GTM has received several other notable awards and nominations:
– Business Travel Company of the Year (March 2024): GTM was awarded this title for 2024. Scott Pawley accepted the award from Jonathan Lord at the Palace of Westminster, acknowledging the hard work of all GTM employees.
– Travel Businesswoman of the Year (February 2024): GTM Director Natalie Pawley was named Travel Businesswoman of the Year. She received her award from Woking MP Jonathan Lord at the Palace of Westminster, vowing to continue empowering women within GTM.
– Travel Bulletin Star Awards Finalist (December 2023): GTM was nominated as a finalist in the Star Sustainability Initiative category, recognizing its successful GTM Carbon Offset Programme and sustainable practices.
– Advantage Travel Partnership Spotlight Award (December 2023): Scott Pawley was nominated for his significant contribution to the industry, particularly for deploying cutting-edge technology and sustainable initiatives.
– Advantage Travel Partnership Marketing Campaign of the Year (December 2023): GTM’s marketing campaign was recognised for its informative and engaging approach, earning the Best Marketing Initiative/Campaign award.
– Focus Travel Partnership Outstanding Contribution (November 2023): Sales Director Paul Baker was honored for his contributions to the Focus Travel Partnership’s Air Steering Group, enhancing relationships with airline partners.
The awards were received on behalf of GTM by two of its dedicated staff members, Deepa Tailor and Natalie Wells, who were thrilled to represent their colleagues at the event.
Looking ahead, Global Travel Management plans to sustain its growth by continuing to analyse the results of the employee survey and maintaining its practice of consulting with staff on all issues, both major and minor, that affect the business. This ongoing commitment to employee engagement is at the heart of GTM’s strategy to remain a leading player in the travel management industry.
