INTERNATIONAL TRADE NOTICE

NUMBER:003 DATE: 8th December 2016

Dear all,

Regulation Change to the British Chambers of Commerce Contract to deliver export documentation

From 1st February 2017, all export documentation customers must be registered with our e-z cert certification service. This is to meet a new regulation issued by the government to the BCC as part of the contract for the Chambers of Commerce to deliver export documentation services.

For businesses already registered – you need not take any action.

Unsure if you are registered – please contact us and we will be able to let you know.

For those who are not registered – please click on the link here and register. The registration process takes less than 2 minutes. We will then upload your formal undertaking to your account and activate it. Once activated, it is entirely up to you if you wish to use this service.

Any application for export documentation from an unregistered businesses after the 1st February will be placed on hold until the business is registered.

Changes to E-z Cert Service – From 1st January 2017

Priority Service

We will also be launching a priority service for all applications on e-z cert. This will move your application to the top of the queue and make it the next application to be processed. The standard rules issued with your formal undertaking will still apply to this service.

There will be an additional cost for this service, however your document will be processed within 30 minutes (as long as the application meets the requirements).

Returning of documents by post

We have also included two new postage options for the return of your documents, Special Delivery (before 9am) and Special Delivery (before 1pm)

COSTS

Special Delivery (before 9am) = £20.00 + VAT

Special Delivery (before 1pm) = £7.50 + VAT

Rejection Fees

We will also be re-introducing the rejection fees for applications where we have had to reject it due to an error. We have created a list of 7 errors (attached) that will result in a rejection fee if we have to reject your application because of them.
