Governments SME Agenda – Supplier Locator Registration Open November 2018

This period’s registration is now open to SMEs and Suppliers that have an interest in dealing with enquiries relating to fast tracked, lower value Government & Public Sector contracts. These contracts are not advertised (because the value is below the EU threshold) and do not have to go through a tendering procedure.

UK Government and Public Sector spend in excess of £220Billion on goods and services every single year. The past 5 years have seen Government make a priority of getting money through its supply chain into the hands of SMEs, by both setting targets and introducing new procurement mechanisms. Small firms benefited from over £12 billion of government spending in 2016. Against this backdrop, the Wired-Gov Supplier Locator Service has been developed specifically to embrace the SME Agenda and provide a platform for SMEs and Suppliers to communicate directly with buyers and decision makers across the entire Government & Public Sector community.

Since April 2000, Wired-Gov have been working with the Cabinet Office to deliver official Government news, information and announcements, directly to the desktops of the Government Secure Intranet (GSI) community and wider Public Sector. Our registered sectors include the following:

The Supplier Locator Service provides a platform where Government/Public Sector buyers can request quotes and/or enquire directly with Suppliers for lower value, less complex products and services. The platform also enables its suppliers to promote their capability to supply certain goods and services through its industry news and outbound communication channels.

We also provide our suppliers with an invaluable, immediate and personalised contract email alert service, that informs suppliers immediately when a Public Sector contract directly relevant to their service area becomes available that falls below the tender threshold (10k – 150k), and a separate alert services with notifications of relevant larger value tenders if applicable.
