Charles Russell Speechlys in Guildford Endorsed as a Leading Law Firm in the South East by Legal 500 2020

Charles Russell Speechlys has received outstanding endorsements in Legal 500 2020, a comprehensive guide to the best law firms in the UK.

The international firm was recognised in 67 categories nationally, with Charles Russell Speechlys’ Guildford-based office being ranked as a Tier 1 firm in 14 categories for law firms in the South East. These categories include commercial litigation; insolvency and corporate recovery; contentious trusts and probate; personal tax, trusts and probate; employment; construction; property litigation and family law.

A record total of nine partners were identified as leading industry individuals. In addition, for the third consecutive year, Duncan Elson, Head of the Guildford office and specialist in contentious trusts and probate as well as commercial litigation was singled out for the Hall of Fame – the ultimate Legal 500 accolade which highlights partners at the pinnacle of their profession who have received constant praise by their clients for continued excellence.

Leading individuals recognised in Legal 500 2020 are Stephen Burns (commercial litigation), James Hyne (insolvency and corporate recovery), Nick Hurley (employment), Karen Wilsher and Shona Alexander (family), David Savage (construction), Peter Levaggi and David Haines (property litigation) and Sally Ashford (personal tax, trusts & probate).

Richard Flenley (property litigation), Rebecca Burford (corporate), William Rollin (personal tax, trusts & probate), Ben Smith (employment), Andrew Keeley (construction) and Jamie Cartwright (commercial litigation) were identified as next generation partners and four other individuals, Daniel Moore, Samantha Ewing, Rachel Warren and Esther White were singled out as rising stars.
