He’s Returning – For One Night Only!

He’s one of the most charismatic personalities on and off the rugby pitch and TV, and by very popular demand, Martin Bayfield is returning to the stage to host the 2022 Surrey Property Awards, alongside Sarah Gobran, actor and co-founder of the Guildford Shakespeare Company.
The Surrey Property Awards is a very firm fixture in the property calendar and, unlike other property awards, the results are based on both public and industry voting, meaning that everyone can contribute to recognising outstanding projects and service and to who receives one of the much sought-after trophies. The awards are very highly regarded within the industry and gaining a top position in one or more of the categories is considered a huge triumph.
The 2022 voting website is now live: www.surreypropertyawards.co.uk and both members of the public and industry professionals are encouraged to visit the website to cast votes for their chosen company, projects, and also personnel in the Property Professional of the Year category, which for the second year offers the opportunity for both a female and male to be recognised.
Guest Speaker
The Awards’ evening, which takes place at G Live in Guildford on 24th November in the company of the Mayor of Guildford, includes a black-tie Gala Dinner, after dinner entertainment and the presentation of the trophies by the Mayor. The event organisers, The Promotional Edge, are delighted to welcome back to the stage TV presenter and former England International Rugby Player, Martin Bayfield, as Guest Speaker and co-host. Having served with the Metropolitan and Bedfordshire police, Martin switched to a full time rugby career before injury forced him to retire somewhat prematurely. However, his overwhelming stature, charismatic personality and natural stage presence enabled him to easily transition into TV presenting and guest speaking. Martin will once again be co-hosting the illustrious Surrey event with the very talented Sarah Gobran. And, adding a touch of magic to the evening, Darius Ziatabari will be entertaining guests in the VIP reception with the fascinating close-up magic tricks that have earned him access to the highly sought-after magic circle.

New Category for 2022 – ‘Property or Development of Outstanding Architectural Merit’
For ease of entry, this category will not require a written submission and instead entrants are invited to provide a link (through the Awards website) to the ‘Design and Access Statement’ used to gain planning consent, and to upload up to ten supporting images. All the entries will be presented to the Chair, RIBA, Surrey (Royal Institute of British Architects) for judging.
