The Guildford Book Festival is back for 2020 in person

8th October 2020
Richard Osman opened the festival on Sunday 4 October, discussing his debut novel The Thursday Murder Club and his love of crime fiction with Lesley McCabe from BBC Radio Surrey and Sussex, and on Monday 5 October Countdown’s wordsmith Susie Dent took the stage to chat with Paul Blezzard about Word Perfect: Etymological Entertainment For Every Day of the Year.

Now in its 31st year, Guildford Book Festival is recognised as the premier literary event in the South East, and brings leading writers to the town to inspire, inform and entertain. This year featuring live and online events, it runs until Saturday, when Gyles Brandreth will step up to amuse and entertain an already sold out house with excerpts from his new anthology.

The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre is delighted to have performance back on the stage and audiences in the auditorium, and to work in partnership with the book festival in these difficult times.
