Mental Health First Aid Update

11th August 2020

It is safe to say that the widespread Covid-19 lockdown has caused seismic changes to our daily habits and routines. We want to stress that our role in the Surrey community is now more important than ever to create environments which promote positive mental health and wellbeing. We are all in this together; no one is on their own and help is always available.

We are therefore extremely pleased to announce that our Mental Health First Aid training courses are back!

We will be hosting our open courses this autumn at the Guildford Pavilion (GU1 4RP) thanks to their generous donation of space, and will have Covid-19 procedures in place.

The courses we offer include:

– Adult 2-day MHFA course
– Adult half-day MHFA course

– Youth 2-day MHFA course

These trainings are offered as both open courses (available to any individual) or in-house (delivered internally to one business or organisation)

Our first 2-day Adult MHFA open course will be held on the 18th & 25th September and our Youth MHFA open course on the 2nd & 9th October! Email jenclay@oakleaf-enterprise.org to book your spot.

You might be wondering, what is a mental health first aider? In our latest article, we gathered together some newly qualified Mental Health First Aiders who share their thoughts on why they decided to take the MHFA Course and what they took away from the training.
