- Surrey Hills Spring Fair
April 5-6 , 2025 – Location: Rural Life Living Museum
Step back in time at the Surrey Hills Spring Fair, where rural traditions and steam-powered magic come to life.
Kickstart the year with a vibrant celebration of rural traditions at the Rural Life Living Museum, including hands-on activities, demonstrations from blacksmiths to steam-powered machinery, artisan markets, live music, and fun activities for the whole family. Immerse yourself in Surrey’s rich countryside heritage offering a true journey into the past and even a ride behind a steam locomotive,.
- Surrey Hills Country Fair (NEW)
June 21-22 , 2025 – Location: Merrist Wood College, Guildford
Experience the future of countryside skills with demos and fun family activities at Merrist Wood College.
A brand-new event dedicated to modern countryside skills and living. Experience the innovative side of rural life, meet local producers, and enjoy activities like animal care, arboriculture, and sustainable land management. A fantastic family event with tractor rides, pony rides, tree climbing, and more. Young people can explore what’s on offer at Merrist Wood College through interactive demonstrations in horticulture, arboriculture, and animal management.
- Surrey Hills Wood Fair
September 13 & 14, 2025 – Location: Cranleigh Showground, Cranleigh
Celebrate craftsmanship and woodland adventure at the Surrey Hills Wood Fair, featuring woodcraft, medieval fun, and bushcraft skills
Our much-loved celebration of woodcraft returns for its 15th year! From timber demonstrations to woodland-inspired creations, this event brings together the best of our rural craftspeople with a focus on sustainability and conservation. Expect to see Viking and medieval encampments, axe throwing, bushcraft sessions, and tree climbing, adding an adventurous and historical element to the festivities.
- Surrey Hills Food & Fire Fair (NEW)
October 18 & 19 2025 – Location: Hogsback Brewery, Tongham
Ignite your senses with live-fire, food and outdoor living, local brews, and cosy fire pits at the Surrey Hills Food & Fire Fair
End the year with a sizzling new addition! This two-day event in collaboration with The BBQ Magazine is a feast for the senses, featuring live-fire, food and outdoor living, barbecue masterclasses, live music, artisan stalls, food & drink demos from Surrey Hill’s producers, s’mores, and hot cider around the fire pits, and even a unique Hogsback beer brewed just for this event. From fiery demos to cosy fire pits, it’s the ultimate autumn gathering.
