The eighth annual FDM everywoman in Technology Awards, in association with techUK, is now open for nominations and seeking those individuals whose achievements not only influence those they work with, but also the next generation working in the UK’s technology industry. This year’s programme will have a focus on identifying and celebrating role models to help inspire tomorrow’s world.

The annual Awards programme uncovers and celebrates the most inspirational women working within STEM industries, demonstrating the vast range of career opportunities that the sector has to offer for women.

This year’s programme will have a focus on celebrating and identifying role models in tech and entrants can be at any stage of their career, including young students or apprentices passionate about the future of technology and high-flying senior women (and men in 2 categories) well established on the career ladder.

While the advancement of technology is happening as rapidly as at any time in history, the proportion of women working in the sector is not keeping pace. Women still comprise just a quarter of employees in tech-related fields, with a fraction of those making it all the way to the top. At junior and middle management levels, retaining female talent is an on-going challenge. everywoman is working to ensure that businesses such as yours are able to enjoy the benefits of having talented women in its senior leadership and technical ranks, with the flexibility to pursue their careers on their terms.
With all of this in mind, we will also once again be running the everywoman Advancing Women in Technology Forum at the Hilton Park Lane in London in association with Tech UK and various corporate sponsors in the day time . The largest event of its kind, the Forum brings together 650 women and men from across Europe for a full day of inspirational speeches, panel discussions and mentoring featuring industry leaders, with fantastic networking opportunities throughout.
