Could your business host a bike amnesty?

Active Surrey’s Surrey Bike Bank initiative collects unwanted bikes, refurbished them and provides them free of charge to individuals and families most in need within the Surrey community.

To help expand the programme’s impact, Active Surrey is inviting local organisations to host a Bike Amnesty, where unwanted bikes are brought to a collection point to be given to the project. By providing a collection point and promoting the initiative within your workplace and/or community, your organisation can play a valuable role in supporting sustainable transport, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and improving access to cycling opportunities. Active Surrey manages the bike collection from your event, upcycling and redistribution process, making participation straightforward and rewarding.

Surrey Bike Bank are currently requesting….
24 and 26 inch wheel bikes (to fit 10 and 11 year old school children doing their Bikeability training)
Adult mountain bikes
Adult hybrid bikes
