Big Changes Ahead: Discover Our New Buildings!

Wow, what a summer it has been!

Buildings have been going up and coming down as the new Brooklands Technical College takes shape.

The Barnes Wallis Building reconfiguration and refurbishments have been completed, ready for the autumn term, and what an impressive area we have created. Students joining us in September will benefit from state-of-the-art facilities, including an immersive educational room, dining/breakout area, professional training kitchens, and a new Brooks Restaurant and Brooks Hair & Beauty Salon, which will open to the public in October.

After sharing images of the proposed spaces for so long, it’s so nice to see them come to life!

Tower unveiling

It’s the building that has been covered in scaffolding and netting since the start of the project, but the big unveil is imminent!

Finishing touches are now taking place and we expect the new tower to be unveiled shortly, ready for September. The Tower will be a dedicated teaching space for English and maths, the pre-16 Foundation Pathways, and ESOL.

Going up……

The steel structure of the Sports Centre and Community Space has started.

Coming down…..

The old catering block area has been demolished, to make way for a Special Education Needs and Disability (SEND) facility.
