Message to Surrey businesses Concerning the Draft Withdrawal Agreement

16th November 2018
Message to Surrey businesses
In light of recent and ongoing developments concerning the draft Withdrawal Agreement and the political declarations on the future relationship between the UK and the European Union, we wish to reassure you that our focus is firmly on assessing the implications of these proposals, the practical questions they pose for business and the impact the current activities will have on the ‘business as usual’ governance of the nation.

The Chamber is collaborating with our comprehensive network across the UK, including regular contact with our colleagues at British Chambers of Commerce, to seek clarity on all aspects of the Brexit plan. BCC is currently examining the 585-page document in depth to determine whether the proposal constitutes a good or a bad deal for businesses and to provide a summary setting out the key issues all organisations need to be aware of.

We will continue to work on behalf of our members and may at some point in the near future ask for your help in conducting a survey capturing the views of companies here in Surrey and across the UK.

In the meantime, if you have any specific views you would like to make us aware of, or need practical support in relation to how all of this affects your business, please contact Surrey Chambers of Commerce on gary.hayes@surrey-chambers.co.uk
