Microsoft Windows 10 Support is Ending
31st July 2025

What does this mean for your business, and are you prepared?
Earlier this year, Microsoft announced that it will cease security support for Windows 10 as of October 14th 2025. This change is a few months away yet, but it is crucial that businesses start preparing now to ensure that their systems remain secure. At the SECRC, we’re here to help you understand what this means and how to manage the transition.
So, what’s changing? After October 2025, Windows 10 will no longer receive security updates, bug fixes, or technical support. This leaves any device still running on Windows 10 vulnerable to cyber threats, especially malware and data breaches.
What should you do now? Audit your current systems and identify if any are still running on Windows 10, then plan for upgrades to Windows 11 or replacement devices if your current ones can’t support an upgrade. If you need a helping hand navigating these changes, speak to your IT provider or seek advice from us at the SECRC.
