Growing Together: Finding Adventure and Purpose in your National Landscape

The Surrey Hills Symposium returns on Wednesday 19 November at the University of Surrey, exploring the theme of Growing Together: Finding Adventure and Purpose in your National Landscape. This inspiring annual event brings together voices from across the countryside, conservation, and community sectors to celebrates finding adventure and purpose in nature. As part of the Growing Together programme – made possible thanks to National Lottery players – the Symposium also celebrates the project which engages communities in the Surrey Hills through co-designed, nature-based activities that build confidence, develop skills, and support wellbeing.

In celebration of the event, the Surrey Hills have launched a photography competition inviting people to share their favourite Surrey Hills adventures. Winning entries will be featured in the Surrey Hills Management Plan, showcased at the Symposium, and could win a Surrey Hills hamper. Entries can be submitted via the website or by tagging @surreyhillsnl with #SurreyHillsAdventure.
