Modern Slavery & Your Business

Surrey Chambers of Commerce in partnership with The Surrey Antislavery and Human Trafficking Partnership and Buckinghamshire & Surrey Trading Standards looks at the impact of modern slavery and how it may affect you and your business.

What is the true scale of modern slavery in the UK?
Based on police evidence, we estimate there are more than 100,000 victims of modern slavery in the UK -  Justice and Care

Modern slavery in the UK can take many forms, including forced sexual exploitation, domestic slavery or forced labour on farms, in construction, shops, bars, nail bars, car washes or manufacturing.

‘’Nearly two hundred years after Britain formally abolished slavery, the terrible crime of holding another human being enslaved is still widespread here. Modern slavery is hidden from view even though it is all around us.”Lord William Hague

It can be difficult to spot the signs but it can affect anyone at any time. What can you do about it?
