SKILLS NEEDS AND THE FUTURE OF THE ADVANCED MANUFACTURING & ENGINEERING SECTOR

This event is part of a roundtable series that the LSIP project is hosting to deep dive into the main skills gaps and challenges that specific sectors are facing in the Surrey and North/Mid Hampshire area. They are designed to bring together a small group of businesses to discuss a range of themes related to their sector to highlight key insights and skills challenges, which will be used to help inform the final LSIP report. Each roundtable will explore these topics in more detail:

– Understanding the main skills gaps and challenges that businesses face in the sector.
– Gathering intelligence from businesses on their experiences with the skills and training system (i.e. what works well, what could be improved, what are the main barriers?)
– Exploring the ways in which businesses can be part of the solution and become more involved in supporting the local skills and training system.

This roundtable is designed for local businesses in the advanced manufacturing and Engineering sector and spaces are limited.
