20+ Skills Bootcamps now available to help businesses POWER UP Potential across Hampshire & Surrey

Developed with employers, over 20 Skills Bootcamps are now on offer across Hampshire and Surrey to address skills gaps and help local businesses prosper. Colleagues from BCoT, Hampshire County Council and Surrey County Council were on hand to tell as more in the second of our Skills Webinars.

We introduced four guest speakers at the webinar: Charlene Duplock and Georgie Laverton from Basingstoke College of Technology (BCoT), a local college, Rob Nash from Hampshire County Council and Jack Kennedy from Surrey Council.

In this webinar, we covered:

• Charlene and Georgie spoke about their roles in the College and how they are supporting local employers to address skills gaps – including a new suite of Skills Bootcamps. They also shared some fun facts and those all-important contact details! 
• Rob provides a really good background to Skills Bootcamps, as part of the Government’s ‘Skills For Life’ programme, going into what they are, the benefits to employers, eligibility and the full list of skills areas from Hampshire (also shown below). 
• Jack introduced the offer from Surrey (also shown below) and gave some insight into why these skills areas had been chosen.
