Surrey Choices supports disabled and autistic adults to match them with jobs which suit their skills sets. All job seekers have an employment support specialist who can support them and the employer through all aspects of both the recrutiment and on-going job sustainability for the life of the role. This may include in-work job coaching, support at interview, advice on any reasonable adjustments and career progression. Most of the work placements sought will be entry level, but Surrey Choices work in a person centred way finding the right job for each persons skill set. Many will benefit from working in a team and having well defined roles with some repetition of tasks. Our experience has shown its not just the job seekers who benefit, their colleagues can dispel myths about what can be achieved and have the opportunity to learn to manage a diverse workplace(with as much or as little support from our team as you need).

Placements are generally for a wide range of disabled and autistic adults who are keen to work. It is a holistic service with many learning skills such as travel training and money management alongside their job searching. Surrey Choices EmployAbility team will be available for any support the Employer needs to ensure the placement works out well. Surrey Choices is a local authority trading company owned by Surrey County Council who has been providing supported employment for 25 years. Currently they work with 600 Surrey Employers supporting around 700 people each year to find or sustain paid jobs.
