Treasurer (Voluntary Post) for The Counselling Partnership
19th October 2023
The Counselling Partnership is looking for an enthusiastic individual with the relevant financial skills to join its friendly team of Trustees as Treasurer. The charity provides affordable counselling to those in need in the local community. We would be delighted to hear from anyone with the relevant experience who would like to help make a difference to the mental wellbeing of our community.
The role includes the ability to oversee our charity’s financial affairs, ensure effective financial processes are used, review and sign off financial reports, manage an effective investment strategy, manage our external book-keeper for the production of management accounts and manage our external financial accountants and audits.
We hold regular Trustee meetings in our Walton-on-Thames office and would ask that you work closely with our small admin team to oversee financial documentation such as Gift Aid submissions.
We are a small organisation, so a willingness to occasionally contribute a little more time would also be appreciated. The Treasurer role is obviously a key one and the Chair will rely on you to own this area of the charity’s operation.
Desirable skills for this role:
- Preferable to have held a senior finance position.
- Knowledge and experience of financial practices relevant to voluntary and community organisations.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping and financial management (professional qualification).
- Good financial analysis skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
If you are interested in applying for this role, please email info@thecounsellingpartnership.org or call 07494 893443.
