BP PLC

BP PLC Sunbury has been an important location for BP since 1917, starting as a research station supporting the WW1 effort. Since then the site has grown to approximately 2,500 business and technical staff working with colleagues all over the world. A major redevelopment project currently underway will transform the site into a modern business centre in pleasant surroundings.We have a longstanding commitment to our working relationship with those in the local community, particularly with regard to HSE, taking into consideration the specific developmental needs of communities in which we operate, through a process of open dialogue and consultation.

Learning & Skills Council

Surrey Chambers of Commerce works in close partnership with the Learning & Skills Council, helping businesses to get the best possible opportunities to develop themselves. The Chambers provide exclusive feedback ensuring that the needs of businesses are taken into account when strategies for learning are developed. The Learning & Skills Council was established in 2001 and is responsible for planning and funding all the government post-16 education and training, except higher education. Surrey LSC is one of the 47 local offices and focuses on the needs of the County of Surrey.

Product & Service Innovation: Summer School 2008
