As the voice of business in Surrey we work in partnership with local authorities and various business groups to maintain a live conduit through to regional business communities. Using this unique link we highlight the key economic issues facing businesses, keeping Surrey Chambers and its members at the forefront of local economic growth and at the heart of strategic decision-making processes.
How we are helping to manage the local economy
Our work with local authorities involves developing and managing current incentives to encourage local economic growth and stability. We actively work with business partners to create a competitive business environment that can be enjoyed by businesses and residents alike.Surrey Chambers regional manager Carolyne Taylor (pictured left), also manages the Business Partnership in Epsom & Ewell which is the liaison between the borough council and the business community. Working with Local Strategic Partnerships LSPs are key to tackling deep seated, multi-faceted problems, requiring a range of responses from different bodies. Local partners working through a LSP will be expected to take many of the major decisions about priorities for their local area. Cobham Farmers market
A more recent success is the introduction of a long awaited Farmers market into Elmbridge Borough (on the 3rd Saturday of every Month).
